Digital wallets, once less prevalent in India, are now in high demand. Industry leaders like Paytm, Freecharge, and Mobikwik are rapidly evolving with innovative schemes for customers grappling with the currency reshuffle.

Every KYC-verified merchant now benefits from 0% transfer fees to their bank accounts until the doorstep of December 31st, 2016. Previously, a 1% charge was applied to all KYC-compliant members.

Non-KYC partners and merchants can now enjoy this convenience at a low 1% fee. Paytm’s old policy tacked on a 4% fee for those without KYC clearance.

Paytm customers and merchants can send funds to any bank account with a 1% flat fee.

New Paytm users must observe a 3-day wait to initiate bank transfers, though once KYC is verified, wire transfers become instantaneous, waiving the prior 45-day awaiting period.

Bank sendouts start from just Rs 100, with a 1% fee deducted from the Paytm wallet balance.
